Job Position: Senior Foreman Plater / Fabricator

Key Qualifications:
– B.E. degree or Diploma in a relevant field
– Strong English communication skills
– Shipyard or DDWD yard experience, with understanding of yard procedures and safety policies
– Practical knowledge in FCAW, SMAW & GTAW welding techniques
– Familiarity with NDT, machine tools, oxy/gas cutting, confined space, and working at height
– Solid grasp of QHSE policies and safe work practices
Roles & Responsibilities:
– Supervise plating and fabrication activities according to drawings, specifications, and safety standards
– Plan daily work schedules, allocate manpower, and coordinate with other trades
– Review fabrication drawings and provide technical direction to the team
– Oversee cutting, shaping, welding, and assembly of structural steel, plates, and supports
– Ensure correct alignment, measurements, and welding quality
– Conduct inspections of fabricated items before installation
– Enforce QHSE compliance, safe work practices, and permit requirements
– Lead and mentor a team of fabricators, welders, and helpers
– Report non-conformities, defects, and initiate corrective actions
– Monitor productivity, equipment usage, and material consumption
– Ensure workplace housekeeping, tool care, and safety discipline
