Job Position: Mechanical Engineer – Site

Location: Dubai, UAE

– Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

– Minimum 10 years of similar experience (preferably in the Consultancy field).

– Experience dealing with clients, contractors, and consultants in project execution.

– Knowledge of mechanical services installation techniques and systems functionality.

– Good skills in terms of communication, follow-up, presentation, and excellent behavioral skills.

– Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.

– Review/approve all Method Statements for installation and testing/ commissioning of Mechanical Systems.

– Review/approve Material Submittal in accordance with the project specification for Mechanical equipment.

– Review/approve shop drawings in accordance with contract documents & site conditions for Mechanical.

– Monitor engineering work progress (Material Submittal & Shop drawings) to ensure they are in line with the DAS & MAS schedule for mechanical.

– Attend technical and progress meetings with Client, Contractor & Sub-contractor.

– Coordinate with the site supervisor/inspector to facilitate correct documentation for inspection.

– Conduct routine site visits to ensure the work carried out is in line with the requirements in coordination with the site supervisor/inspector.

– Review payment certificates/variations in coordination with the Project QS.

– Witness testing and commissioning activities.

– Review & verify the Operation & Maintenance Manuals.

– Review/approve the as-built drawings in coordination with the site supervisor/inspector.

– Compile the project closing document in coordination with the Project Coordinator & the Project Manager.
