Job Position: General Finance Accountant
Location: Dubai, UAE

– Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts across multiple business units.
– Record and review journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, allocations, and adjustments.
– Maintain and update the chart of accounts.
– Ensure proper cut-off and accounting treatment in line with IFRS.
– Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local regulations.
– Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
– Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations (e.g., bank, AR/AP control, advances, accruals, intercompany transactions).
– Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
– Automate reconciliation processes and enhance accuracy.
– Record asset additions, disposals, transfers, and monthly depreciation.
– Maintain an up-to-date fixed asset register.
– Ensure proper classification and accounting of fixed assets.
– Monitor bank balances and handle fund transfers.
– Prepare bank reconciliations and support daily liquidity monitoring.
– Assist in managing corporate credit facilities and banking relationships.
– Assist with VAT reconciliations, filings, and documentation.
– Ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations and internal policies.
– Maintain audit-ready records for tax-related transactions.
– Prepare audit schedules and respond to internal and external auditor queries.
– Ensure documentation and controls are compliant and audit-ready.
– Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data within ERP systems (Odoo or equivalent).
– Support system enhancements and implementation of finance-related tools and workflows.
– Drive improvements in GL processes and internal controls.
– Promote accounting best practices and automation initiatives.
– Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Treasury tasks.
– Perform adhoc financial tasks and support cross-functional initiatives as needed.
– Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting
– Proficiency in accounting software (Odoo preferred) and tools, as well as Microsoft Excel, Power Tools
– Ability to analyze financial data, reconcile accounts, and handle financial discrepancies
– Attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities
– Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
– Professional certifications like CA, ACCA, or CPA are a must
– Familiarity with UAE tax regulations and laws is a plus
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Finance/Accounting role, ideally in a manufacturing or multi-entity environment
