Job Position: Chef (Pre-Opening)
Location: Dubai, UAE
Company Name: Bakes and Bowls Restaurant
– Lead pre-opening: kitchen setup, smallwares/specs, supplier sourcing, tastings
– Develop and standardize recipes/SOPs, plating guides, and production plans
– Train and roster the team; supervise service to ensure speed, consistency, and flavor
– Own food safety & hygiene (HACCP mindset; align with Dubai Municipality Food Code)
– Coordinate daily prep, batch production, bakery items, and hot line for bowls
– Uphold health and safety and sanitation standards; prepare for internal audits
– Collaborate on menu engineering, seasonal specials, and launch promotions
– 5+ years professional kitchen experience; Pan-Asian (Filipino/Japanese/Chinese) background strongly preferred
– Proven pre-opening or fast-casual experience and team leadership
– Strong fundamentals in recipe writing, costing, and line efficiency
– Knowledge of Dubai Municipality Food Code; HACCP Level 3 / PIC certification (or willingness to obtain)
– Excellent communication, calm under pressure, and a passion for hospitality
– UAE experience/candidates in the UAE preferred
