Job Position: HSE Manager

– Develop, implement, and maintain robust HSE management systems specific to construction projects in the UAE.
– Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections to identify and mitigate hazards on-site.
– Lead incident investigations and enforce corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
– Ensure compliance with UAE laws, including Federal Law No. 8 of 1980 (UAE Labour Law), Dubai Municipality Regulations, and international HSE standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
– Deliver HSE training programs and toolbox talks to employees, contractors, and subcontractors.
– Monitor contractor compliance and lead HSE coordination meetings.
– Collaborate with project management teams to integrate safety into project planning and execution.
– Prepare and present comprehensive HSE reports for senior management and regulatory authorities.
– Oversee emergency preparedness and response on construction sites.
– Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
– Minimum 5 years’ experience in HSE management within the construction sector, preferably with exposure to South African and UAE regulations.
– Strong knowledge of UAE construction safety legislation, regulations, and international standards.
– Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH Construction Certificate, SAMTRAC, or equivalent.
– Proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
– Ability to work across multicultural teams and manage diverse contractors.
– Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel between project sites in the UAE.
– Preference will be given to South African candidates with relevant experience.
