Job Position: Safety Officer

– Assist the Operations Manager in planning and implementing safety policies and procedures in compliance with UAE regulations and international standards
– Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards → recommend corrective actions
– Monitor and evaluate health and safety risks → ensure risk assessments and control measures are updated
– Investigate incidents and near-misses → prepare reports → implement preventative measures
– Lead safety training and awareness programs for technicians, staff, and contractors
– Ensure safety equipment (fire extinguishers, PPE, alarms, emergency exits) is regularly checked and maintained
– Coordinate and conduct emergency response drills (fire, evacuation, etc.)
– Maintain accurate safety records → inspections, incident reports, compliance documentation
– Liaise with regulatory authorities during inspections → ensure timely resolution of findings
– Support operations by advising on ergonomics, safe equipment usage, and work procedures
– Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
– Safety certification (NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA) is highly preferred
– 2–3 years of relevant safety experience, preferably within Facilities Management or similar environments
– Strong knowledge of UAE health & safety legislation and best practices
– Excellent communication and training delivery skills
– Analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment mindset
– Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
– Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
– Familiarity with safety management software is a plus
– Based on-site at client facilities
– Must be able to conduct site walks/inspections, sometimes in challenging conditions
– Flexibility required for occasional evening/weekend audits or emergency response
