Job Position: Fabrication Supervisor

– The Fabrication Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily fabrication activities, ensuring production targets are met with optimal efficiency and quality.
– The role requires leadership in managing shop-floor personnel, coordinating with the production planning team, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring the timely completion of jobs as per design specifications and quality standards.
– Supervise and coordinate the activities of fabrication workers, welders, and helpers.
– Ensure daily production targets are achieved while maintaining quality and safety standards.
– Review fabrication drawings, job orders, and work schedules to determine work priorities.
– Ensure efficient utilization of raw materials, machines, and manpower.
– Monitor performance and provide guidance and training to shop-floor staff.
– Implement and enforce health, safety, and housekeeping standards.
– Maintain inventory of tools, consumables, and raw materials needed for fabrication.
– Conduct daily toolbox meetings and ensure safety compliance at all times.
– Coordinate with the QA/QC department for inspections and non-conformity resolution.
– Prepare and submit daily and weekly production reports to management.
– Recommend and implement process improvements for productivity and cost-efficiency.
– Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in metal fabrication, preferably in a supervisory role.
– Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, including cutting, bending, welding, punching, and assembly.
– Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
– Hands-on experience with fabrication machinery and tools.
– Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
– Familiarity with ISO standards and lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
