Job Position: Senior Cost Control Engineer
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

– Responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling project costs across construction and transport projects.
– Develop, implement, and maintain project cost control systems, procedures, and reporting.
– Prepare project budgets, cost breakdowns, and forecasts in coordination with project managers and finance.
– Monitor project expenditures, commitments, and invoicing against approved budgets.
– Identify cost variances and provide corrective action recommendations.
– Review subcontractor and supplier payment certificates and verify cost allocations.
– Conduct cost analysis for manpower, equipment, and materials usage.
– Support tendering and estimation teams with cost data and historical trends.
– Prepare monthly cost control reports (budget vs actual) for management.
– Ensure compliance with company policies, ERP systems, and UAE statutory requirements.
– Liaise with project teams, procurement, and finance to ensure accurate cost tracking.
– Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Finance, or related field.
– Minimum 8–10 years of experience in cost control within the construction/contracting industry in UAE.
– Strong knowledge of project cost control principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
– Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle / SAP / Microsoft Dynamics), MS Excel, and cost control software.
– Solid understanding of UAE Labour Law, project contracts, and commercial terms.
– Experience in large-scale infrastructure and civil construction projects is preferred.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– High attention to detail and accuracy.
– Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
– Excellent communication and reporting skills (English required, Arabic is an advantage).
– Team player with cross-functional coordination skills.
